The list of those selected in the lottery for Military Service 2027 was published this Friday, October 9. The process primarily covers young Chileans born in 2008 and those from the 2007 cohort who are still listed as available.
According to T13, the call-up applies to males who did not volunteer. The list is now available at recruitment offices across the country and on serviciomilitar.cl, where it can be checked from home.
To check the result, go to www.serviciomilitar.cl and click the top banner that says "Check here." The system takes users to the portal of the General Directorate of National Mobilization (DGMN), the agency that manages recruitment. There, users sign in with ClaveÚnica to see the result.
Those selected must report when required. Induction will begin in April 2027, and the DGMN will notify each selected person of the date and location where they must report.
If you have valid grounds for not performing military service, you can request an exemption. The application period began this Friday and ends on Monday, November 9. Applications can be submitted online through the DGMN portal using ClaveÚnica, or in person at a recruitment office.
The appeal is submitted to the Special Accreditation Commission (CEA). Chilevisión clarified that exemption is not automatic, because the commission must assess the information and documents supporting the grounds cited.
The regulations provide six grounds for exemption. The first is a physical, psychological or social inability to serve. The second is membership in the Public Order and Security Forces or the Chilean Gendarmerie. The third is that military service would worsen the family's financial situation.
The other three are having married, being about to become a father or having become one before the lottery; having been sentenced to a severe criminal penalty; and being a descendant of victims of human rights violations or political violence, in the direct or collateral line up to the second degree.
Those who neither submit a valid excuse nor report when required according to the call-up list may be classified as offenders. That status entails absolute disqualification from holding public positions and offices and a fine of between 4 and 8 UTM, approximately $288,000 to $577,208 according to T13's calculation.
