Aníbal Mosa, president of Blanco y Negro (Colo Colo's concession operator), and César Villegas, head of Deportes Limache, have agreed to vote together in the upcoming National Professional Football Association (ANFP) elections, according to La Tercera. Both say another 10 clubs support the move.

The announcement came in a statement signed by the two leaders. In it, they explain that they met to review the state of Chilean football ahead of the ANFP and Football Federation of Chile elections. According to the same outlet, Villegas was unable to register as a candidate for the presidency at Quilín.

The trigger was the recent visit to Chile by FIFA, world football's governing body. The delegation came to review changes associated with the entry into force of the law on Professional Sports Corporations (SADP) and, above all, the separation of the ANFP from the Federation.

In the statement, Mosa and Villegas take direct aim at the two candidates competing to lead the ANFP, Jorge Uauy and Jorge Yungue. They claim that the two met in the United States in September and already knew information that only became public a few days ago. That information concerns Pablo Milad remaining at the helm of the Federation while its separation from the body that administers professional football is carried out.

The signatories also maintain that other matters were not handled or communicated as they should have been. That is why, they say, they decided to assess the situation together. According to the statement, the bloc's goal is to provide transparency about how the leaders will be elected and who will take those positions.

Villegas went further in comments to El Deportivo. "Neither slate represents us," the Limache club's leader said, though he declined to go into further detail.

The clearest option emerging is to spoil their ballots. Asked whether the bloc might do so, Villegas replied: "It could be an alternative." The identities of the ten clubs that joined were not disclosed.

The ANFP elections are scheduled for November 19. That day will reveal whether Mosa and Villegas's bloc tips the balance between Uauy and Yungue or chooses to sit out the decision by spoiling its ballots.
