Starting this Thursday, October 15, families who applied during the main application period can check the results of the 2027 School Admissions System (SAE). This is the Ministry of Education's (Mineduc) platform for applying online to public and government-subsidized private schools.
T13 reported that results will be available until 14:00 on Wednesday, October 21. Applications for this period were submitted between August 4 and 27.
To check the placement, the parent or guardian must log in to sistemadeadmisionescolar.cl using the RUN and password of the same account used to submit the application, according to La Tercera. They must then select a response and download the confirmation.
There are three options. The first is to accept the placement and enroll the student in December, directly at the school. The second is to accept and activate the waiting lists if the student was not placed at their first-choice school.
The third option is to reject the result. Both outlets warn that, in that case, the student will have no school for next year and the family must apply again during the supplementary application period, from November 10 to 17.
There is a point that many families overlook. If the student is assigned to a new school, they automatically lose their place at their current school for 2027, whether they accept or reject the placement.
Those who activate waiting lists, or are on an automatic waiting list, must check their results between October 28 at 09:00 and October 29 at 14:00.
The system allocates places according to the preferences families indicated and criteria defined by law that seek to prevent discrimination. It also allows families to apply from anywhere in the country without having to visit each school.
Next come the supplementary application period, from November 10 to 17, and the publication of its results on December 1. Enrollment at schools will run from December 9 to 22, and in Aysén and Magallanes it will be extended until December 29.
