Santiago Metro will operate until 00:00 on Wednesday, October 14, Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17. This will help people return home after attending the three concerts by BTS, the South Korean K-pop group performing at the National Stadium in Ñuñoa.
According to Cooperativa, only 18 stations on lines 3, 5 and 6 will be open for passengers to enter or exit during the extended hours. El Desconcierto added that female fans will arrive in Santiago from various regions and even from abroad.
Three stations will be available to enter the network after each show: Ñuñoa (lines 3 and 6), Estadio Nacional (line 6) and Ñuble (lines 5 and 6). These are the closest to the venue on Grecia Avenue, which is becoming a pilgrimage destination during these dates for ARMY, as the group's fans call themselves.
On Line 3, passengers will be able to exit at Plaza Quilicura, Cardenal Caro, Plaza Chacabuco, Universidad de Chile, Irarrázaval, Ñuñoa and Plaza Egaña. On Line 5, exits will be available at Baquedano, Ñuble, Carlos Valdovinos, Pedrero, Bellavista de La Florida and Vicente Valdés.
On Line 6, Cerrillos, Franklin, Ñuble, Ñuñoa, Inés de Suárez and Los Leones will operate as exit stations. Transfers will be available at Ñuñoa, between lines 3 and 6, and at Ñuble, between lines 5 and 6.
The intermodal stations open for connections to buses will be Bellavista de La Florida on Line 5 and Franklin on Line 6. The company did not specify whether additional buses would run at those locations.
In a post on X, Santiago Metro added that Park and Ride services (parking to leave the car and continue by train) will be available at Mall Plaza Egaña and Mall Plaza Vespucio.
The company asked passengers to plan their journey in advance and bring their bip! card with sufficient credit to return home. The first concert will be this Wednesday, October 14.
