Nicolás Acha posted a lengthy message on Instagram about the end of his marriage to actress Constanza Piccoli. He did so after she publicly confirmed their separation following a decade together.
According to BioBioChile, Acha titled his post "My most personal and difficult post." He explained that he wanted to announce the breakup himself to keep others from speaking about his private life. "I want to tell it myself rather than have others do it for us," he wrote.
In his account, Acha recalled that his history with the former cast member of the teen series Karkú began long before their romance. "It was 20 years of history, in which we met as teenagers without knowing that our story would bring us together years later," he said.
He was direct about the reasons for the breakup. "For my part, I still love her very much and will always love her, even more than on the first day, but today we want different things for the future," he said. Chilevisión, which also covered the message and spells his surname Achá, highlighted his assurance that the relationship did not end because of a lack of love.
Acha described Piccoli as his pillar, his best friend and his partner. He said she "was and is the most important person in my life and surely always will be." He also spoke about the plans they never fulfilled: "Although my dream was a huge family, life gave us a family of 5."
According to Chilevisión, the post included images of the couple's everyday life with their dogs and cats. Acha added that Piccoli is at a different stage in her life and that, whenever he can, he will continue defending her "as her number 1 fan."
The message ended with a reflection on saying goodbye: "Sometimes loving also means accepting that someone does not come into your life to stay forever." Neither source specifies when the separation took place or whether any legal proceedings are underway.
Piccoli, who currently appears on the show Fiebre de Canto, married Acha in December 2023. She had previously spoken about the breakup and said it happened on good terms. "It is a difficult process for both of us, but there is a lot of love and affection," she said.
